Hey to my awesome blog!
I'm back. I'm new. And I'm in NP taking FSV, right where I wanted to be since the day I was born - ok, since Sec. 1.
I happened to be reading an acquaintance's blog and suddenly had this motivation to read mine.
I thought it'll be lame, but it wasn't bad. Was like walking down memory lane. (Aaahh, memories..the good and the bad..)
Should I start reblogging again?

B2ST IS THE BEAST!
9:57 PM - Tuesday, March 9, 2010
Woah...
I just found a new kpop boy band, who debuted in october '09, which instantly took my breath away and owned all of my attention all at once.
Introducing B2ST(Beast) which is short for 'Boys to Search for Top'!

And their members are:

Doo Joon's the leader.
Hyun Seung is supposed to be the 6th member of Big Bang but quit because of stage fright. (...err...) Oh, and he had to gain weight before his debut as a B2ST member. (haha)
I think Jun Hyung's the most charming member, ever since he was feat. in Hyuna's 'Change'. (I like him!)
Yo Seob has the cutest face, kinda reminds me of Xiah Junsu of DBSK.
Gi Kwang likes to show his abs. A lot.
Dong Woon is the one I was initially attracted to because I thought he was most good-loooking out of all members, and I think the tallest. But he turned out to be the youngest(19). And sadly, he gets the least lines in a song and the least front position during a performance. And he only has 9 words for his intro in Wiki. How sad...But seriously, I thought he's a foreigner...Tall, dark and handsome...sigh...
I'm certainly gonna look out for them in the future.
Listen to their teaser, I think it's quite nice. Their vid and this teaser was probably for thier debut, as though it's an intro to B2ST.

Gundam Unicorn...is actually quite good...
9:38 PM - Monday, March 8, 2010
Sigh...
I almost cried during the last few minutes of watching just the 1st OVA. Yeah, it's an OVA series, with only 6 OVAs. Why did I cry? Because of an unexpected twist...so sad...
The protagonist, Banagher Links(pronounced Banaji in jap)has quite a similar personality to my one and only hero from the Gundam SEED series, Kira, both quiet in normal moments, but can become quite emotional during tense situations. And they both have brown hair.
But they do have ONE VERY OBVIOUS DIFF: THEIR LOOKS!
Compare: Banagher Links

vs.
MY KIRA YAMATO! :

HAHAHA! My husband!
Anyway, there were 2 heart-breaking moments in there in which I could not help but just scream in terror helplessly in front of my com. screen.
Because these two moments just keep reminding me THAT THE GUNDAM SEED ERA IS WAY OVER! NOOO!
Let me quote them:
1) Prime Minister: "Let us share this happiness among mankind, bid farewell to Common Era (C.E.) with gratitude and respect, and welcome Universal Century (U.C.), the new world, with a smile.
T^T C.E. was the era in the Gundam timeline in which the Gundam SEED series took place.
2) Banagher: "This is Haro. Do you know about it? It's a replica of the mascot robot created by the ace pilot of the big war. Didn't you hear about it in your childhood?"
Damn! How long ago did the war during Gundam SEED took place for them. The first thing I thought of "Did Kira die of old age already?" Aargh! ...it just feels so sad...
Well, the next OVA will only come out in the autumn of 2010. Still a long way to go. But the 1st OVA is a bit confusing since there were many references to wars and eras from the older Gundam series, much older than Gundam SEED itself.
Ok, until I watch the next OVA, I'll stop here.
Once again, KIRA LIVES ON FOREVER!

"The Hurt Locker" won BIG at the Oscars 2010!
9:38 PM - Sunday, March 7, 2010
Wow. Today was the first time I've ever watched the Oscars LIVE on tv (abt half an hr ago). It was glamourous, star-struck with a whole lot of people in there. Don't know what else to say about the event as a whole.
Honestly, out of the 10 movies nominated for Best Motion Picture, I've only watched one of them, and that is UP. The one thing that highly impressed me from the movie was that soundtrack that I, someetimes consciously try to make myself remember (constantly asking myself "how'd that song go again?"), while other times, I subconsciously remember even in dreams and even after I wake up from it. It was such a beautiful, touching, airy tune, it truly portrays the peaceful, pure love with a dream-like feel to it that Carl and Ellie both share. Of course, another thing I liked was the humour of the movie. Simple, teasing kind of funny. Haha.
I am truly happy for Michael Giacchino for winning Best Original Score for the movie "UP". I truly am. Because from what I've heard from the little intros from each nomination, none of them were as powerful or as captivating as the UP theme, and apparently, the Academy agrees. COngratulations!
Oh, Best Male actor: Jeff Bridges. No surprises there.
Best female actress: Sandra Bullock. "Finally!" was my first thought. But, I quite like the main girl who played in the movie "Precious". No idea who she is. I'm gonna watch that movie. One way or the other.
But seriously, from 9am to 1pm?!?! Seriously, it would have been utterly dreadful and horrendous if our normal prize presentations in school lasted that long.
Finally congrats to all winners!
Love tweed.

Macbooks are FREAKIN' expensive.
8:45 PM - Friday, March 5, 2010

See that.
Let me quote something from the NP website:-
"Apple Notebook computers are required for the following courses: Advertising & Public Relations; Mass Communication; Film, Sound & Video; Digital Visual Effects; Multimedia & Animation; Audio-Visual Technology; Chinese Media & Communication."
Cool.
Price offered by NP: S$1995.96
Shit.
Bloody hell expensive.
Damn.
I hate troubling my parents like this.
Fried Rice + Weekends + "The Sixth Sense" = Syiok!
12:21 AM - Sunday, April 19, 2009
Hmmm...I ate AWESOME FIRED RICE for two days...for yesterday's lunch and dinner, and today's breakfast...I'm addicted to fried rice...
My mom made it even though she was sick...she's the best mom ever. She didn't nag at me for three days and that got me worried. Believe me, worried! (ask my sister) Sigh...a mother's love is somehow the most present when she starts nagging because sincerely, I CAN NEVER LIVE WITHOUT HER NAGGING...can you believe that?
But oh well, she's all better now, already started nagging at me to wash the shoes, wash the dishes, wash the pots, clear up the room, hang my towel...Yup, no doubt abt it, she's perfectly normal! :D
And I have this stupid ulcer in my mouth. Why is it stupid? I was prevented from fully indulging in the full taste, hotness and "syiokness" of it in my left side of the mouth. Hence, my right side of the mouth is quite tired from the non-stop chewing.
But like SJ said a few days ago, no pain no gain! So guess what? I got stomachache and diarrhoea yesterday and this morning because the fried rice was too spicy for my stomach to handle (I think)...but who cares, I'm better now, that's why I'm posting...but DAMN! the taste is unforgettable! (I think I have to watch more of that TABOO show and see them eat more tarantulas before I get over it...
Ok, last night, I watched the Saturday Night Movie. They were showing "The Sixth Sense" on Channel Five. Here it is:

Directed by: M. Night Shyamalan (1999)
Main Cast: Bruce Willis - Dr. Malcolm Crowe
Haley Joel Osment - Cole Sear
Toni Collette - Lynn Sear
Olivia Williams - Anna Crowe
Nominated for 6 Oscars - another 31 wins and 37 nominations
Ok, this movie was good, really good, really really good.
The main plot is abt this boy called Cole who obviously sees dead people. They come aft him, in the beginning for no apparent reason, or maybe just to hurt Cole (that' what he thinks). His mom, Lynn, loves him a lot but Cole is constantly bullied and called a "freak" by people around him. He then seeks help from a child psychologist, Dr. Crowe, who needs help himself in trying to fix his relationship with his wife, Anna, who no longer speaks to him.
And so the story goes on, until [SPOILERS] Cole learns that the ghosts that meet him are actually looking for help (reminds me of ghost whisperer) and then Dr. Crowe finds out that the reason why his wife no longer talks to him is because she couldn't hear him. He was dead from the start. [END SPOILER] A great ending or what?!
Anyway, Shyamalan did an awesome job with his directions and ideas. He used cameras in creative waves to portray fear, anxiety, distress etc. , kinda like hypnotising people in the way he wants people to see it from their TVs, making us believe that we can see the the dead people's world from a dead person's point-of-view.
There was one scene when there was a mourning for a girl that just died. Shyamalan makes it such that the whole camera was not on a proper stand or whatever, almost like it was handheld, purposely making it move in an unstable manner (or possibly by using a dolly that can move in all directions or sth) and then the tension was there, as though the viewers were spirits just floating around listening to random (well, obviously not) ppl talk.
Anyway, Cole's room's position was just right. It was at the end of a hallway and we can see all sorts of things going on along the hallway (like ghosts walking behind him)etc.
Haley was as good as when he was on A.I. He has this thing which I call the "kesian"/"kasihan" look (pitiful look)to him naturally. Very obvious from this two movies.

This kid is amazing! Somehow, your heart just goes to this kid(in the past) and you tned to relate to him. A natural, I must say. His intonations while reading his lines really depicts the feelings he's suppose to have during the scene. Yup, really adorable when he smiles too.
Ah.
Of course.
Bruce Willis.
The troubled man himself. I love Bruce Willis but in this show, he was a man of few words. His expression was stoic most of the time but during the crying scene, he cried like a man! Lots of feelings in there. Just great!
But really, congrats to Shyamalan. Really, the best thriller director of the 21st century!
[Honestly though, I prefer "The Village", also directed by him]
Enjoy! See you in probably...two-three days time!

My first korean love, DBSK!
5:09 AM - Thursday, April 16, 2009
It's been a long time since I posted...sigh...got banned from the computer for a while...
I remember promising someone in sch a day ago that I was going to post abt DBSK/TVXQ (DONG BANG SHIN KI)...so here it is. PLS BE REMINDED THAT DBSK IS THE ONLY GRP THAT I LOVE MORE THAN SUJU. (in korea, at least)
Let's start off with my favourite favourite favourite member, YOUNGWOONG JAEJOONG(HERO)! :D

This is Jaejoong. He's the oldest member of DBSK and his voice makes my heart melt every single time he uses it. And his laugh is just THE CUTEST I have ever heard!
What I like abt him is that he's always straight-to-the-point (very direct), sometimes sarcastic. In other words, he's very very honest, both in a good and bad way. It's just so cute and very "jaejoong-like"...haiz...and not to mention a "PRETTY BOY!" (he's soooo my type!)
Ok, next is the leader of DBSK, U-KNOW YUNHO!
He's the hottest, sexiest and best dancer and rapper of the group. and yes, he definitely knows it(bcos u-know always knows it) and is never afraid to show it off...very manly and has a strong sense of leadership...
Look at him...*drools*

Thirdly, Choikang Changmin (MAX)...the youngest and the most serious out of all the members...shameera's favourite... THIS IS FOR YOU SHAMEERA!

I can understand why ppl like him a lot...he's focused, reliable, never-over-the-top and not to mention, quirky in his own cutey ways...
Here's the most memorable facts I have ALWAYS REMEMBERED abt changmin...
(1) When he's sincerely happy, smiling and having fun, one eye will become bigger than the other. (it's quite obvious once you've observed him long enough)
(2) But when he's mad, one corner of his lips will go up, resulting in this really evil smirk, with eyes strongly focused on you!
Seriously, out of all the members, he's the scariest and the undefeated one with the strongest vocals.
Ok, fourthly its Micky Yoochun! He has stayed in America for a while and is the last member chosen to be in DBSK aft their company could not find a suitable last member from their auditions. (the rest of the members came from the auditions)

...sigh...the other pretty boy in the grp...he's voice is very soothing, smooth, can speak more english than normal koreans...made up of ultimate cuteness etc etc.
Btw, he's always smiling, as though he doesn't have any problems in life, but actually, he has a pretty sad history. He actually cried on national tv when he was telling the public abt his past and guess what, it made me cry too...waahh!!!
I'd also say his the most sensitive, emotional guy. There's normally a lot of emotion whenever he sings and acts.
Lastly, Xiah Junsu!
I've never really liked him as much as the others but hey, I've definitely got to give him credit for having a pretty good vocal and an awesome dancing talent. He's like the angel of the grp, the innocent one, the one who always acts cute ( i think he's naturally like that)

You see what I mean...he's just too...yeah..ok...
DBSK fans must-watch DBSK: Banjun Theatre, followed by their Banjun Dramas.
A breif introduction: Banjun theatre is where the members get tested on national tv whether they're gd enough to travel the world to film thier own mini dramas. They have a short warm-up session, then they get ten tries to act out a scene from a famous korean movie( i forgot what's it called)from the beginning to the end all the way through without any mistakes.
I promise you people, it is FREAKING HILARIOUS! WATCH IT! You'll get to know more abt the members from this show...here's the first video to start the ball rolling...
It might not be at funny at first but what can I say, leave the best for the last! Watch it on Youtube!
Enjoy!
Love, Tweed.
PS. [sj and jac] none of them look like girls, okay!
